Seems like a lot of people have been following Rehman Malick's
strategies when it comes to hindering communication. Take this Kit Kat's
Campaign, for example.
On Amsterdam Ad Blog we came across this pretty nice ambient advertising campaign that was launched by Kit Kat in downtown Amsterdam. Instead of offering free wireless Internet, the brand introduces ‘No Wi-Fi’ zones that block all wireless signals within a radius of 5 meters.
The campaign not only reflects Kit Kat’s slogan “Have a break, have a Kit Kat”, but also represents sort of a counter movement against the ‘connected generation’ of hipsters that occupy the city’s coffee bars with their fancy laptops. Kit Kat’s ‘No Wi-Fi’ campaign was created by advertising agency JWT Amsterdam and designed by Kyoko Takeshita.
We like the idea - Finally, people will connect with each other instead of Facebook and Twitter. But shouldn't they have mentioned their source of inspiration?! Your thougts?
